Lake Placid Flower and Gift has been owned and operated by Lisa Kirby since 2014. Lisa spent her childhood years growing up on Long Island, but her earliest memories as a child were vacationing in Lake Placid. She quickly fell in love with the area, and was thrilled when her family decided to move here in 1988 to purchase a restaurant business. She grew up working in this business but was offered a position, and started working for the previous owner of LPF&G in 2004. This very quickly became her passion. After years of training and learning everything there was to know about the business, taking multiple design courses and building her skill set she was thrilled with the opportunity to buy the shop in 2014.

Lisa's passion for flowers may only come second to her love of animals. She began riding and competing in the equestrian field when she was eight, and was honored when she was given the opportunity to provide all of the flowers and gardening services for the Lake Placid Horse Shows many years ago. With an amazing team working side by side with Lisa, this gave them the opportunity to expand the business to include gardening and maintenance. 

When she is not at the shop or watering flowers, you can find Lisa out with one of her "foster fails" or volunteering for the Joshua Fund Dog Rescue, uniting rescued Labrador Retrievers with their new forever families.
